About UsSIPBE - La Sociedad
Independiente de Profesores de Baile
en Europa (Formally - La Sociedad Internacional De Profesores De Baile
En España) The aim of La Sociedad
Independiente de Profesores de
Baile en Europa (SIPBE) is to promote dance in all its forms, from
Ballet to Ballroom dancing throughout Spain and Europe to a worldwide
recognised high
standard. Our trained professionals supply up to date techniques and
support for our members to help maintain and improve teaching standards
to those who can continue to spread dance and give enjoyment and
pleasure to others. The SIPBE was originally
formed by international
dance teachers and examiners based in Spain who wanted to create an
internationally recognised dance society within Spain and Europe. All
our Members are fully
qualified and have entered the Society by proof of qualification from a
recognised society or have taken a professional examination within the
Society. All examiners are fully qualified and have been accepted by
our examiner’s board. The Society holds regular
medal tests and examinations
in all branches at their Centre in Calpe. Members may also request an
examination to be held at their own studio. Further details of
examinations are available here. We have two working committees: The Stage Branch Committee to cover Classical Ballet, Tap, Jazz/Modern, Singing and Drama; and a Ballroom Committee to cover Ballroom, Latin American, Old Time, Modern Sequence, and Disco as well as having specialists to cover non core subjects including Cheerleading, Line Dancing, Streetdance and Flamenco. These committees will be pleased to address any queries or questions you may have. Further details on dance styles available through the society are available here.
