If you teach dancing, or if you are training to be a teacher in any form of dance then you need us

SIPBE - La Sociedad Internacional De Profesores De Baile En Espana

The aims of the Society is to promote dance in all it’s forms to a worldwide High Standard. To train professionals, who can continue to spread dance throughout Spain; and give enjoyment and pleasure to others.

The branches covered by the Society are Ballroom, Latin American, Old Time and Modern Sequence, Disco, Country and Western Line Dancing, Ballet, Tap, Jazz/Modern, Character Dancing, Rhythmic Exercise, Singing and Drama.

All our Members are fully qualified and have entered the Society by proof of qualification from a recognised society or have taken a professional examination within the Society. All examiners are fully qualified and have been accepted by our examiner’s board.

The Society holds regular medal tests and examinations in all branches at their Centre in Calpe.  Members may also request an examination to be held at their own studio.

On joining the Society members will receive a bona fide certificate as proof of their qualifications. Newsletters will be sent and from time to time we hold open days, coffee mornings, get-togethers and conferences.  The Society will also assist you in any way it can to further your dancing career.

Through the Society you can purchase shoes, dancewear, theory books, videos and more.  A syllabus is provided free to all members and additional copies may be purchased at a nominal cost from head office.

We have two working committees: The Stage Branch Committee to cover Ballet, Tap, Jazz/Modern, Singing, Drama and Character Dancing; and a Ballroom Committee to cover Ballroom, Latin American, Old Time, Modern Sequence, Line Dancing and Disco.  These committees will be pleased to address any queries or questions you may have.

Registrations and Members’ fees will be issued on request. There are special rates for student teachers and joint fees for civil partnerships.
